TIPL’s Nashville Chapter sponsored an Energy Efficiency / Clean Energy Workshop on May 17. About forty individuals attended the two-hour session at TIPL Faith Partner congregation, Edgehill United Methodist Church. The workshop included presentations from Nashville Electric Service, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, and LightWave Solar. Climate Nashville also co-sponsored the event. Participants learned ways to increase energy efficiency in their homes and about rebates and other incentives from TVA and the federal government to help offset the costs. In addition, information was provided about the current fight in Congress over the future of clean energy credits and people were urged to contact their senators and house members to oppose their repeal. Various options for installing solar and battery storage in homes were also presented.
