The Tennessee Interfaith Power and Light steering committee met on Saturday, November 16; it is TIPL’s annual meeting of the steering committee.
A brief summary of the meeting follows:
- Elections were held & approved the terms of office.
- Voted to sign onto IPL’s “Green New Deal Faith Principles”.
- Relayed ideas from the Bioneers’ conference, and recommended its’ 3 minute environmental videos for meetings (which can be found at bioneers.org).
- Talked about the status of the climate movement, and the need for a major shift in paradigm (moving from fossil fuels to zero emissions).
- Reviewed last year’s goals, and did a bit of brainstorming about next year’s goals.
- Maintenance of our Facebook site is now being handled by one of our new steering committee members.
